Lollapalooza in Chicago

The Good:

Awesome bands, great venue. Grant Park has good views of the city, Lake Michigan, Art Institute, Buckingham Fountain, and actual trees - it’s dubbed “Chicago’s Front Yard.”

The Bad:

Tickets are no longer $20 but still reasonable at below $100 (& you can’t bring alcohol inside), so the suggestion here is dinner & hit the town Friday, Lollapalooza it up Saturday, then hit White Sox or Cubs game Sunday.

Chicago is well known for their great summer festivals and Lollapalooza is the king. Set in beautiful Grant Park along Lake Michigan, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday with your crew, particularly during a bachelor party. Now into its 3rd decade, Lolla blends top notch acts with up-and-comers ranging from alternative and punk rock to heavy metal and hip hop. Recent acts include: Eminem, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Deadmau5...

With over 150,000 people over three days, you’re sure to find some honeys, hear some great bands, and have a blast.

Bachelor10 Tip:

Bring soft coolers filled with ice and sealed Liter bottles of water for each person, which you’ll appreciated later on in the Chicago summer heat. You can’t bring in alcohol and probably not worth trying but you can buy inside of course so feel free to start off the day with a boozy brunch or deep dish pizza lunch.
