San Francisco

The Good:

SF has some of the best daytime activities around, particularly Giants games, spring/fall festivals, and general day-drinking.

The Bad:

The nightlife isn't great, especially for NYC or LA guys. And the summer is cold unless you leave the city for Marin or wine country.

B10 Overall Rating: 6. SF is certainly fun but it’s not quite in the top five.

Hotels: 7. Decent, classy, but pricey.

Restaurants: 9. Excellent food, so many options high to low end.

Bars: 5. There are some fun bars and decent prices, but the talent level might seem low.

Clubs: 4. Well, a couple are ok for electronica and house as some of the top DJs spin here.

Gentlemen’s Clubs: 3. Well, they’re still better than your last hook up.

Daytime Activities: 9. The reason you're here. Awesome day-drinking festivals, Giants games, and an easily accessible outdoors.

Price: $$

Ah, San Francisco.  How I love thee.  Let me count the ways.

A slightly classier, more outdoorsy, older bachelor party destination.  SF offers fantastic food from Mexican to Asian to steak at reasonable prices.  The bar scene needs to be navigated carefully and the club scene apparently has some merit, but you’re generally coming to the Bay for daytime activities.  Check out the spring festivals including Bay to Breakers, Union Street Fair, and North Beach fest, and make sure to maximize your day-drinking events.

There’s a reason why people leave their hearts in San Francisco; just know what you’re signing up for.

Bachelor10 Tip:

Think about coming out for Bay to Breakers, which is one of the most fun days (and weekends) of the year for any city, but you might want to take Monday off work.
