Benny’s Chop House

Another newbie on the scene (it opened in 2010), Benny’s Chop House likes to make a (literal) splash with a wine list more extensive than Jim McMahon’s sexual conquests of the 80s and a cocktail menu more creative than Sammy Sosa before a grand jury. This place will make sure the bachelor party catches a proper buzz with their red meat. Couple that with an masculine and warm interior and you get the perfect environment for bachelor party steak gluttony. And there’s plenty to be gluttonous about; from the dry-aged prime steaks to the impressive chops to the surprisingly good pasta, your crew will have a solid base to enjoy their delicious booze. Just make sure nobody’s blacking out when the bill comes - there’s still more fun to be had out in the Windy City.

Venue Tip:

Ask if the Cajun tenderloin is available. A special, off-menu order that - when available - is the best thing they have; though if not, you’ll still have plenty to choose from. Plus you’ll sound like you’re in the know.

The Good:
We’ve already covered their great drinking options. Classy service with a focus on the customer. There’s a live piano player Wednesday through Saturday.
The Bad:
Tight seating puts you shoulder-to-shoulder with your fellow patrons; check into the semi-private dining options. There’s a live piano player Wednesday through Saturday.
