Mastro’s Steakhouse

Mastro’s Steakhouse

520 N Dearborn St
Near North Side
(312) 521-5100

Modeled after the original Mastro`s Steakhouse in Scottsdale, the Chicago incarnation of this high-end mini chain has quickly taken a spot towards the top of the Chicago Steakhouse food pyramid. Opting for an atmosphere that feels more like a trendy lounge then an old-style, mob/godfather type steakhouse, Mastro’s is the perfect starting spot for the bachelor party looking to get the night hopping right from the get-go. The high-energy bar is a great place to grab a tasty drink while you wait for a table; the piano player is a huge draw to quality talent looking to class up their night while downing potent martinis. And when you guys settle in for dinner you’ll be treated to some of the finest cuts of meat in the entire city.

Venue Tip:

If the steep prices have some of the guys scared of going, you can choose to  bring your own wine and only pay a $25 corkage fee. We hear the Trader Joe’s Two-Buck Chuck Cab goes great with a $60 porterhouse.

The Good:
Tasty cuts of beef, a cool scene and most important, after they pour your drink they give you the shaker to finish it off.
The Bad:
The dining room can be both dark and loud so casual conversations and bachelor party speeches can be tough. Of course that makes it easier to ignore the bill when it comes, too.
