MileNorth, A Chicago Hotel

MileNorth, A Chicago Hotel

166 E Superior St
River East
(312) 787-6000
Located just moments away from The Magnificent Mile - but even more importantly, right next door to Gino’s East, the famous deep-dish pizza institution - the MileNorth gives the bachelor party the chance to live it up in a cool boutique hotel while saving their cash for the pizzas and booze, just like in college. The stylish hotel offers up 215 rooms and suites with eclectic furnishings, contemporary colors and generous mirrors (you know, if you are into that sort of thing). Add to that the under-appreciated C-View Lounge on the 29th floor and you’ve got yourselves a solid bachelor party base.

Venue Tip:

When you are looking for a low maintenance meal send the Best Man down to bring up some Gino’s East. Just be prepared to wait; there’s usually a line.

The Good:
A cool boutique property for much less than some of the other hotels on this list.
The Bad:
The MileNorthis a bit old and it shows it in some places, like some of the cougars you’ll spot at C-View.

Price: $$

Best Feature: The fruit-infused lobby water is a nice touch but we’ll still go with Gino’s.

Vibe: Subdued funkyness, like a middle-aged rock star who’s still got it in him.

Good Place to Party?: Like a lot of the hotels in Chicago, it’s worth a cocktail or two but pretty soon you’ll be ready to move on.

Nearby Eats: If you want to stay on-site there’s seafood at C-House and snacks at C-View otherwise The Capital Grill, David Burke’s Primehouse at The James, and Joe’s are within walking distance.

Nearby Drinks: C-View also has cocktails; J Bar at The James for a lounge vibe or hit Vision, Manor, or NV for club creeping.
