BLT Steak

BLT Steak

W Hotel Downtown
45 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd
(404) 577-7601
Given the restaurant’s name, we’ve always wondered why there isn’t an entire section of the menu devoted to bacon. Alas, the “BLT” in BLT Steak turns out to be the owner’s initials. But not to worry: there’s still plenty of deliciousness on the menu, including what are rumored to be some of Atlanta’s best braised beef ribs.

As for decor, think classic steakhouse fare with W Hotel ambiance. That pretty much sums up BLT Steak, Laurent Tourondel’s chain of highly regarded steakhouses. While they’ve got the trendy shellacked wood floors and ultra-modern lighting, you won’t be subjected to a plate of three baby carrots with a truffle oil drizzle. The decor is swank, but the food is as hearty as at any other steakhouse in town. Besides the great fare, BLT Steak sits inside a W Hotel. So, between BLT, the lobby, and the lobby bar (Drinkshop), there’s bound to be a mature girls-night-out happening somewhere.

Venue Tip:

We recommend mixing and matching the sauces (of which there’re eight on offer) with any of the meat or poultry options, all of which are kick-ass (rack of lamb is one of their atypical menu items that gets a lot of love).

The Good:
There always seem to be some nice-looking ladies fluttering around W hotels: in the lobby, the restaurant, the bar, the rooms....
The Bad:
Not the coziest of atmospheres. We are all for a slick interior, but you don’t want to feel like you’re eating in a laboratory.
