The Capital Grille

The Capital Grille

255 East Paces Ferry Road
(404) 262-1162
A solid steakhouse with all the necessary accoutrements (taxidermy, wood panels, overstuffed seating, long bar with plenty of bourbon) as well as a few extras (this is the only place we’ve seen with a digital ticker tape located in the bar showing stock quotes; but, hey, no matter how drunk the Bachelor gets, at least he can stay on top of after-hours trading).  Like a Capital Grille (it’s a dependable, well-regarded chain) in any city, this one has all the standard steakhouse delectables (filet, tenderloin), and a couple of less common options (Delmonico steak and lamb rib chops).

Oh, and there’re some giant lobsters rolling around in here as well, for the bachelor party attendee who’s trying to eat lower on the food chain.  The bar is well worth a stopover before or after your meal. The best part is we’re told Atlanta Hawks center Zaza Pachulia loves this place. How’s that for an endorsement?

Venue Tip:

Inquire about a private room, which is often available and doesn’t always cost extra.  You may even get a skyline view of midtown.

The Good:
Not quite as expensive as some of our other top 10 ATL steak spots, but still offering great food, and very, very attentive service.
The Bad:
This place is a bit off-the-beaten path. But hey, you were gonna hail a cab anyway so what’s a few extra blocks?
