What could be better than sitting under a tree in New York, close friends in tow, as you sip a stein of beer the size of your head? While away the day at the Beer Gardens -- a favorite of New Yorkers of all types -- listening to music and gorging yourself on rich European beer (mostly Czech) and terrific German food, the kind you’d find in a true Beer Hall. Sure, you could go play lasertag and work up a sweat, but sometimes your buddies just want to relax and speak crudely about women and The Mets, your neighbors to the east. No other place in New York City was made for you and your crew to kick back and throw down a cold one (or eight) like Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden. Though you may want to plan for a quiet evening after a day here.

Venue Tip:

Get the kielbasa with sauerkraut. Be prepared for your friends to make fun of you, but it’s worth it.

The Good:
When it’s even slightly warm in New York, the denizens flock here in droves to drink, make merry, and puke on the subway on the way home.
The Bad:
You probably do not want to drag your crew to Queens to sit outside in a Beer Garden when it’s freezing. This joint is best during warmer weather.
