Frying Pan

63 Chelsea Piers
Pier 66a @ West 26th Street

A huge, rusty ship parked on the West Side of Manhattan? While that may sound strange, the The Frying Pan has a bunch of great things going for it: 1) It’s on the water, which is amazing during the warmer months. 2) It’s outdoors, which is outstanding during the warmer months. 3) People come in droves - great talent included - during the warmer months. 4) It’s a perfect combo of fun happy hour with decent food that later turns into a scene with dancing and great beats when the sun really goes down. Find your bachelor party in NYC when the weather is above 60 degrees and chicks are trying to get a tan, and most people who are in the know will say that you can’t beat the Frying Pan.

Venue Tip:

If you go for the happy hour portion, get there by 5pm or you will have a tough time fighting for a table (6pm to avoid long line). Go towards the back bar which has faster service and a better location.

The Good:
Outdoor seating, cold buckets of beer, full bar, bar food, plenty of ladies, mix of happy hour and DJ dancing, no cover.
The Bad:
Tough to get a table. Beware the alternative seating on the boat: not good for anti-sway, landlubbers.
