A metrosexual's wet dream, La Place D'Armes is a great spot for a bachelor party that's going to be more massages and mani-pedis than martinis and mayhem. Or you can blend all of them together into one tall cocktail of fun by staying in this landmark and doing your heavy partying elsewhere. Le Place d'Armes Hotel & Suites has a 3,000-square-foot, full-service spa, including a Middle Eastern steam bath for the ultimate in man-pering, as well as private rooms for massage, wraps, exfoliation and other treatments. Once the bachelor and his boys have hit the spa, they’ll want to hit the deck -- the rooftop bar that is. La Terrasse Place d'Armes is one of the hottest open-air bars in Montreal with awesome views of Old Montreal, downtown and Notre Dame. There's also the ultra-sophisticated Suite 701, a modern brasserie that serves excellent food as well as top-notch martinis; and a cool rec room with a pool table will make it feel like you're hanging out in someone's hunting lodge.

Venue Tip:

Don't let a small space cramp your style. Upgrade to at least a junior suite, or get one with a balcony. The suites have extras like a living area with an electric fireplace, a home theater system, a goose down duvet and pillows and the all-important mini-bar.

The Good:
Even if you don't partake of the spa at the hotel, all of the rooms are stocked with a nice selection of toiletries from Rainspa.
The Bad:
Even if you don't partake of the spa at the hotel, all of the rooms are stocked with a nice selection of toiletries from Rainspa.

Best Feature: The atmosphere and location. This is an upscale, contemporary hotel but not in a snobby way. You'll feel at times like you're staying in your own trendy apartment.

Good Place to Party? A good place to start with a few excellent cocktails either on the roof or the restaurant/lounge before moving the party elsewhere.
