This hotel wasn't living up to its name until a recent facelift put it back in vogue as a fashionable spot for a bachelor party celebration. And speaking of fashion, if a member of the party is still stuck on the right wedding gift for the star couple, the hotel is surrounded by all kinds of upscale stores and boutiques in shopping meccas. Then again, you’re not here to shop.  Loews Hotel Vogue is located in the Temptation District and the bachelor and his gang will find plenty to tempt them, including sports bars, jazz clubs, pubs, tobacco shops and oh yeah, a little gem of a (ahem) “club” called Chez Paree that you may never leave. once you see their talent  Of course, the hotel has its own diversions. The posse might want to start their night at L'Opera Bar, which is a chic two-story bar with floor-to-ceiling windows which will allow them to check out all the action and talent on the liveliest street in the city.

Venue Tip:

If someone has an American Express Platinum (or higher) in his pocket, the Vogue is part of the company's Fine Hotels & Resorts program and you can get upgraded for having the right plastic

The Good:
The staff of this hotel -- from the front desk and housekeeping to concierge and bartenders -- are superb and go out of their way to make you and your party feel like VIPs.
The Bad:
The place is short on amenities. There is a gym that's open 24/7, but it's pretty small. There's also no pool or sauna.

Price: $$$

Best Feature: It has to be the bathrooms, which are huge, luxurious and have not only a Jacuzzi tub but a flat-screen TV. Maybe not quite like Jeremy Piven's setup in "Very Bad Things," but you don't want to go there anyway.

Good Place to Party? Not the best place. Better to start out with a cocktail in the small bar and move on to other numerous places in the neighborhood.
