300 South Biscayne Boulevard
Originally a strict steakhouse, someone had the bright idea to turn Chophouse Miami to Chophouse Miami Bistro and Lounge. The most significant upgrade was the transformation of the front dining room into a couch-lined lounge, with the standard dining room still intact in back. The real draw on a steamy Miami night, though, is the 60-seat ocean view patio. Nothing like some kobe beef sliders and whisky on the patio while people-and-mega-yacht-watching. A good spot for dinner plus after-dinner drinks before heading north to the clubs.
Warm up here with happy hour in the sun (4-7 PM daily) before hitting the clubs and getting weird.
The Good:Killer menu. Chophouse is probably the only spot in Miami that couples kangaroo and ostrich steaks with a pretty darn decent bar scene. Sushi, seafood, and standard steaks, as well.
The Bad:Only open till midnight, the Chop House is a good choice if you’re looking to transition seamlessly from dinner to drinks, but you’ll want to have a next stop in mind.
