How to remain one of the hotter restaurants in Miami for over 40 years? We have no idea; if we did we’d be in the restaurant business. But they must be doing something right at The Forge, because this place still packs ‘em in. The menu is serious and the meat here is world-class. Apparently there’s a world-renowned wine bar, but we tend to stick to the simpler selections from the full bar (there’s an on-staff mixologist who’s so important that his name appears on the menu; still some of us favor G&Ts). The menu features enough sides and “snacks” to serve as a full dinner, but given the quality of the steak here, we don’t recommend it.
Try the Lobster PB & J: toasted brioche, chopped fresh peanuts, onion marmalade, diced chilled lobster. It sounds bizarre (and it is), but you can talk about it to any girl willing to listen for the rest of the night.
