If your bachelor party is looking for actual physical activity, a hike is a great way to spend a couple hours, especially in lieu of others golfing.  The two best hikes in Phoenix / Scottsdale are Piestewa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak) and Camelback Mountain.

Piestewa is a bit closer and takes two hours (with driving) though give more time for that wolfpack [link to The Hangover] toast and pictures at the scenic peak of the Summit Trail.  It’s easier and thus more crowded, but we wouldn’t want someone getting hurt during your big weekend.

If you want more of a challenge and have more time hit up Echo Canyon or Cholla Trail at Camelback Mountain, which won’t disappoint.

Venue Tip:

Bachelor10 Tip:  Definitely bring water, comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and a hat / suntan lotion (yes, it’s a theme - we don’t want to be blamed for your 3rd degree burns).

The Good:
Fun bonding with the fellas with some good physical exertion that you probably need after a big night out. Plus anyone’s wife/girlfriend will be thrilled/shocked to see something other than your bachelors ogling women (though there will be a few lookers there anyway).
The Bad:
Some people will complain about a hike. Ignore them and leave them behind. They’ll regret missing more time with the bachelor.
