If you don’t want a resort and plan to hit the town for your bachelor party fun, then make the Hyatt Place happen. The rooms are nice and cool with 42-inch flat screens, but not over the top. They have an okay pool (but not terrific so don’t get riled up for ladies) and free breakfast like some of the other chains on this list, along with a free computer room (& wifi) for the turkey investment banker who needs to jump online.

It also happens to be in the perfect location at a very reasonable, bordering on cheap, rate.  Plus the rooms are suite-style so you could easily pack in more than usual, but shhhh, we didn’t tell you that.

Venue Tip:

If you have “babies” in your group, ask for a room away from the Northeast side which can get loud near a couple clubs.

The Good:
Great location, sweet suites, and easy on the wallet.
The Bad:
Not a resort, nor a hopping party spot; more of a spot to just rest your heads after a day out on the (Old) town.

Price: $$

Bar on premises: “Beer, wine and cocktails available” but that still doesn’t qualify as a bar.

Lively daytime pool scene?: Nah, but at least it has one to shake of the cobwebs the next morning.

Close to: Cowboy Ciao (upscale American/Western restaurant), Barrio Queen (outstanding Mexican), Don & Charlie's (great steakhouse), Saddle Ranch Chop House (fun BBQ), Hyatt house (very close to each other; try not to mix up where you’re staying!).
