They ditched the coolest name for a hotel (Firesky), but The Scott Resort still seems like a good middle-ground for those in your party of “bachelors” who want to balance fun, resort, and good location. It’s right on a main strip, even near a classic AZ mall, which isn’t actually that bad as you’ve got a bevy of food and drink options anywhere you turn, along with the requisite shoppers (read: females).

The former incarnation had a great staff, larger than usual rooms (most have a terrace), and cool firepits with roasted marshmallows (among other delights you should gather) to toast your bachelor.  We have little reason to believe things have changed, but will have to get out there to test it ourselves...

Venue Tip:

Get at least one room overlooking the lagoon. It’ll be a good spot to wait for people to get ready and well, check out the action.

The Good:
Combines a party with a cool resort, in a good location near Old Town. Oh, and it’s affordable and often caters to partying groups.
The Bad:
It’s near a mall and can be a little be loud at times, but inside is actually quite nice.
