The Stephen Talkhouse

The Stephen Talkhouse

161 Main St
(631) 267-3117

The Stephen Talkhouse may just be the most popular bar, or at least with the longest line that people are (somewhat) happily willing to wait on, in the Hamptons on some nights.  And for good reason.  First, the place is enormous.  There’s a great patio, a back smoking section, a good spot to chill inside in the back, a bar up front, and a big area for the band and everyone dancing.

Then there's the live music. There are often fun bands including the weekly 80s cover bands, which usually draw the largest crowd.

And most importantly, at Talkhouse there are young and attractive ladies everywhere. All strutting their stuff in their finest Hamptons glory and maybe even a couple hoping to meet fellas just like you.

Venue Tip:

Go early before the line that gets ridiculously long and pay the cover to get your stamp then just come back later. Or you can tip the guys up front to jump through.

The Good:
Sensing a trend here – ladies, good drinks, and great live bands yield fun times.
The Bad:
Often a $30 cover, plus ridiculous lines when you want to get in. But there’s a reason people wait.
