Are you the type of guy who loved Chuck. E. Cheese as a kid? I mean loved the place. You devoured the rubber pizza by the bucketful, dove headfirst into that bio-hazard cesspool known as the ball pit like Will Ferrell on angel dust, and wished to grow up to be a bigger star than the animatronic drummer playing sugary rock n’ roll tunes to you and your six your old friends like it was the Beatles at Yankee Stadium. Yes. You were. But, now you’re a baller (or a lawyer, at least) and bad pizza no longer trumps kobe beef? Yeah, you’re onto sliders, fish tacos (corn tortillas so your crossfit instructor doesn’t make you run extra suidices), and microbrews.

Picture a grown-up, respectable version of Dave & Buster’s in San Francisco’s SOMA district right down the street from AT&T Park where Barry Zito of the Giants live out your current fantasies, sans robotics and guitars. Lucky Strike is part bar, part lively restaurant designed for maximum inter-party socializing, and part bowling alley where the oat sodas take the form of Anchor Steam lagers rather than Millers (relax, they can find a Miller for you if your tastes lean closer to Dave & Buster’s than San Francisco hoity-toity).

Bring your friends, grab some lanes and a few tables and Lucky Strike will be an excellent way to kick off the evening’s activities before a ball game (i.e. baseball) or other debaucherous pursuits.

Venue Tip:

Party like rap stars and reserve Lucky Strike’s VIP Luxe Lounge, a private, high-end area for your party complete with four bowling lanes, a big screen television, and a full bar that never seems to empty. Invite co-eds from the front of Lucky Strike to your shangri-la in the back to attempt to empty the never-ending bar.

The Good:
There’s enough here for everyone. Each member of your bachelor party will find some version of fun here. Even the guys who are actually at the party to bowl.
The Bad:
The lanes are often crowded and the prices can add up, so don’t linger here for more than a few hours. You don’t want to blow your wad this early in the night.
