A sports bar on steroids– which may (or may not?) be appropriate considering you’re right across the street from Barry Bonds’ former playground, AT&T Park. In keeping with the docklands-turned-young-professional-hood vibe that prevails in the immediate environs, Pete’s has the brick and timber feel of a former warehouse, but is now elegantly appointed with more big screens than your local Best Buy. Pete’s has pretty decent food (for a bar), but the real attraction are the reasonably-priced pitchers and recently-graduated female patrons and waitresses. Plus, you can gaze out the window at one of the country’s best-looking ballparks – and the home of 2010’s unlikely World Series Champions.

Venue Tip:

If you didn’t plan ahead and reserve one of the private rooms upstairs or by the front door, you will likely still find a table long enough for your crew. If not, head down the hall to the adjacent Pedro’s Cantina for the same great atmosphere but twice the floor space.

The Good:
What better place to enjoy a pitcher than across the street from Tim Lincecum’s home field? (Get it?)
The Bad:
Come on a Giants game night without a reservation and you may well find yourself without a table.
