San Francisco Marriott Union Square

San Francisco Marriott Union Square

480 Sutter Street
(at Powell St)
San Francisco
Union Square

Sometimes running a bachelor party is like herding cats; a drunken group of loud, destructive cats the size of adult men. When that’s the case you need to take location into account and this gem from Marriott should strongly be considered.

Centrally located in Union Square and walking distance to some of the best drinking and eating establishments this fair city has to offer, the Marriott makes going out easy and getting lost hard (though not impossible). The rooms are small, but who cares? You will be out enjoying the city vibes and just need a bed to pass out in at night. Just make sure it’s yours… (errr…)

Venue Tip:

Counting costs? Split the room costs by booking a 2 double room. Reward members can rack up some more points to splurge later at a posh resort by a beach.

The Good:
As we mentioned, the location is key. It’s even close to cable cars if you guys want to rock the true San Fran experience.
The Bad:
Somewhat mellow atmosphere in bar and restaurant. One of the last places on Earth still charging for WiFi.

Price: $$

Bar on premises: Great drinks at bin480.

Best Feature: Not specific to this hotel but we love the Marriott Mobile Check-In.

Nearby Eats: Grab breakfast at the Restaurant (we know, confusing name); later day eats at bin480. Outside of the hotel check out EPIC Roasthouse, Slanted Door, and Lori's Diner.
