Avalon is a big club in Hollywood, in size as much as in history. The venue features a large stage and great sound system, ideal for live music performances and other events. Avalon Hollywood has had many lives, most recently as the Palace, site of the Ramones’ last ever show. Since 2002, Avalon has been turning out club nights for house and electronica fans between days with live shows and other special events. The best part? The club frequently stays open well beyond 2am and into the wee hours.
Always check the event calendar in advance before going! While you’re there, check out Bardot (the former Spider Club) upstairs or the second DJ in the space cleared inside Honey restaurant when you want a change.
The Good:Avalon comes through with the indoor rave or mega-theater dance party that you love from venues like Webster Hall and SF’s Ruby Skye.
The Bad:If you’re looking to surround your Bachelor with a dignified crowd and memorable conversation, go elsewhere. This will bring on college flashbacks...
