The Saguaro bar is a great place to start the Bachelor’s evening. It’s got a lounge feel that’s contemporary if a little rundown. There’s an outdoor fireplace on cool evenings and a pool during the day (where you might have to create your own party).  It’s situated in a great spot so the guys in tow can walk (or stumble) to Old Town Scottsdale, where there are plenty of drinking spots, clubs and restaurants to party hearty.

Because of its relatively lower price, the hotel tends to be the hotel of choice for bachelor and bachelorette parties, which could make for an interesting evening if a group of girls has the table right next to yours. Think strategically boys…

Venue Tip:

Go here right before dinner, order some sophisticated whisky, propose to a few toasts to the bachelor (think Hangover wolfpack speech without the roofies), then set later meet-ups with the gals sitting near you.

The Good:
When it’s described as a “hip” place that doesn’t mean it’s a bunch of old people in danger of breaking theirs. It does attract a young crowd particularly because the price is right.
The Bad:
There’s not a lot of action here past happy hour so choose to have one drink at the bar and then be on your way to one of the many nearby hotspots listed below.
